Vampire Academy (2014)

"Academia Sf. Vladimir nu este o şcoală ca oricare alta, ci un loc secret, ascuns în străfundurile pădurilor din Montana, în care moroii (vampiri vii şi muritori) sunt educaţi în tainele magiei, iar tinerii dhampiri (jumătate oameni, jumătate vampiri) sunt antrenaţi să-i apere de atacurile sângeroase ale strigoilor (morţi vii), cei mai înspăimânttori şi mai periculoşi vampiri.

Rose Hathaway, o fată dhampir, se pregăteşte să devină gardă de corp pentru prietena ei cea mai bună, prinţesa moroi Lissa Dragomir. Antrenamentul pentru lupta cu strigoii este unul dur şi epuizant, iar pe lângă intrigile şi comploturile din Academie, situaţia ei se complică din cauza unei idile tăinuite şi interzise. Având o legătură psihică ieşită din comun, cum nu s-a mai întâlnit de secole, cele două eroine încearcă să facă faţă ameninţărilor..."


Parerea mea :


Probabil sunt printre putinii ciudati care nu au citit seria de carti si totusi s-a dus la film si s-a apucat sa comenteze, ehh dar voi ma acceptati si asa nu? Nu ? OKAY
ASPECT - Nu stiu exact la ce m-am asteptat…dar in orice caz speram sa nu fie un film la care sa ma plictisesc, nu a fost un film care ma plictisit dar cu certitudine m-a dezamagit ingrozitor de tare, nu am avut asteptari deloc mari de la film, din primul moment cand am vazut trailerul am stiut ca nu va fi cel mai bun film pe care l-am vazut in ultimul timp si totusi... Am vazut trailerul de mai multe ori, si efectiv aveam dubii mari in privinta filmului, daca va fi bun, mai putin bun sau chiar dezastruos. Cred ca inceputul a fost partea mea "preferata" din film, intrand scena accidentului care a fost redata ingrozitor de real, si care m-a facut sa spun ca vreau sa vad mai mult, dar imediat dupa asta a urmat prima scena in care Lissa si-a aratat asa numiti colti de vampir, care la propriu aratau stupid de copilaresc, mi-au dat senzatia de plastic. Bataile? Bataile au fost in adevaratul sens al cuvantului patetice, chiar ma gandeam acum doua zile in timpul orei de mate ca si eu as putea "mima" niste batai mai violente sau cel putin mai bunicele, cu siguranta scenele de genul asta m-au facut sa rad si mai mult decat ar fi fost cazul (mda o supradoza de rasete).

Si acum vine partea cea mai rea din toata ecranizarea filmului dupa parerea mea, efectele speciale...ei bine eu nu le-as numi asa, au fost extrem de slabe, sau poate doar eu le-am vazut asa...

PERSONAJE - Ca tot am vorbit doar de lucruri care nu mi-au placut, au fost si cateva scene care mi-au starnit rasul si de care m-am bucurat intr-un fel, cum ar fi cele in care Rose  isi foloseste replicile acide/ironice/amuzante. Ei si ca tot vorbim de personaje, Christian...ei bine daca printr-o catastrofa ar trebui sa vad din nou filmul cred ca doar pentru el m-as mai uita :p

SFARSITUL - Ehh sfarsitul e putin in ceata :)), ultima jumatate de ora din film, eram cu gandul doar cum sa
ies mai repede din sala de cinema, sa spunem ca nu a fost atat de rau ca restul filmului, bine poate sunt putin rea, dar pe ansamblu am ras mult (era sa ma fac si de ras, m-am ridicat in picioare inainte sa se sfarseasca ultima sceva si cred ca toti s-au uitat ciudat, am fost salvata la timp de prietena mea). Din pacate nu recoman acest film, doar daca vreti sa vedeti o "parodie" a cartilor are au avut un adevarat succes.
P.S Sunt singura care a observat ca pentru un film cu vampiri nu a existat pic de sange? Dubios...

The Supernatural spin-off has cast its first two characters, including an alum of the CW's Vampire Diaries. 

British actor Lucien Laviscount and TVD star Nathaniel Buzolic ae the first two actors to join Supernatural: Tribes, a potential spin-off that will be launched with a backdoor pilot on the original Supernatural in the April 29 episode.

Laviscount, a former star of the British shows Waterloo Road and Coronation Street, will star as Ennis Roth, a Chicago police academy trainee who learns about being a Hunter from Sam and Dean after his fiance is killed. Laviscount is also a singer and competed on the U.K.'s Celebrity Big Brother in 2011 (where he lived in the house with Tara Reid, among others).

Buzolic, who played Kol, one of the Original vampires on TVD, will appear as David Hayden, a shapeshifter and member of one of Chicago's ruling monster families who has tried to live as a normal human.

In Touch contacted Kathleen to pry some details out of her about the couple’s upcoming wedding and those pregnancy rumors that emerged earlier this month. Though she initially indicated she’d “been sort of told not to say anything,” the well-meaning mama was tripped up when the savvy reporter asked a question about whether or not Matt and Xtina would move to the East Coast. (The couple currently lives in L.A.)

“I don’t know what their plans are,” Kathleen replied, “but when you have a baby, you’re not planning on moving anywhere anytime soon!” ...Whoops.

Now multiple sources confirm to Us Weekly that baby no. 2 is definitely on the way for the singer and her new fiancé. Congratulations, Max Bratman — sounds like you’re about to become a big brother!

Christina is on a break from The Voice, so it sounds like the perfect time in her life to focus on planning a wedding and preparing for a baby. The question is... which will come first?

TVD executive producer Julie Plec took to social media to respond to one such incident of unpleasantness directed at her as part of the Bring Kol Mikaelson Back campaign.

Julie recently received the following tweet: "@julieplec It's not good going against the fans wish for Kol to live. It could give you a bad reputation as a writer.” Now, this is probably not the only tweet of its kind, but it’s the one Julie chose to respond to as representative of this negative side of television fandom.

“Let me elaborate,” Julie began in her response, written in its entirety on TwitLonger. “Storytelling is not a democracy and it never will be. I love and admire the passion of the Kol fan base, but no petition, or trending topic, or ongoing twitter assault on my mentions is going to make us do something we don't believe is right or necessary for the show right now. Some of you have gotten a bit meanly personal. Others have shown nothing but grace. And your enthusiasm means the world to all of us. But if you want a choose-your-own adventure, go to the library. Otherwise, find it in your hearts to trust that we love the story we're telling and are going to keep giving 1000% of our creative souls to it — even when it makes a few people unhappy. Maybe one day you'll see Kol again when the story is right. Maybe not. I hope you'll keep watching anyway.”

La doar nouă luni de când s-a aflat că sunt împreună, cei doi actori au hotărât să facă pasul cel mare. Leighton și Adam au avut parte de o nuntă privată la care au participat doar familia și prietenii.

Cei doi s-au cunoscut pe platourile de filmare ale producției The Oranges în anul 2011, iar în urmă cu patru luni logodna lor a fost anunțată. Deocamdată nu există fotografii de la eveniment, dar imediat ce vor apărea le vom posta.

DHW: What inspired you to write "The statistical probability of love at first sight"?

J: The original idea for the story came out of an overnight flight I once took from Chicago to Dublin.  (I should warn you that this isn’t a romantic story, though!)  I was sitting next to an older Irish gentleman who was so nice, and we spent a large portion of the flight talking.  When we landed, we had to go through separate lines at customs, since I’m American and he was Irish, and afterwards, and we never got a chance to say goodbye.  I realized then how strange it is that you can spend that many hours talking to someone without even knowing their last name, and it struck me as an interesting way to start a love story…

DHW: The action is happening in 24 hours, we think it takes you a lot of time to write it and visit the places.

J: Yes, it was a unique challenge to set the book over twenty-four hours!  I actually wasn’t in London very much while I was writing it, though I’ve spent quite a lot of time there, so I relied mostly on memory (as well as Google maps!) to help make sure the timeline made sense.  I really enjoy stories that are set in a short timeframe, though, so this was a lot of fun to write.


DHW: What about the inspiration, are you thinking about a special person or a memory when you write?

J: My story ideas are usually sparked by something that happened to me in real life before quickly spinning off into pure fiction.  My life isn’t nearly interesting enough to account for an entire book! 



DHW: Now, are you working on a new book?

J: Yes – always!  I have a new one coming out in the US in a couple of months called THE GEOGRAPHY OF YOU AND ME, and then I’m in the middle of another one, which doesn’t have a title yet, but actually also has a short time frame – it follows a couple on the night before they leave for separate colleges.  They’ve spent the whole summer trying to decide whether to stay together or break up, and now they have only twelve hours left to decide.



DHW: You are a writer, but why? If you could choose another job, what would you pick?

J: I’ve wanted to be a writer since I was ten years old, so I feel very, very lucky to be living out my dream.  But I’m also an editor, so I guess no matter what job I’m doing, it involves books…which is exactly what I’ve always wanted.

DHW: We are curious: what actors did you see in the roles of main characters?

J: I always find this question so hard to answer!  I’m not completely sure, but I love hearing what readers think, so I’m going to flip the question back to you guys.  I’d love to know who you’re picturing as you read!

DHW: What do you thing about ROMANIA? Or about our blog? A message for our followers and your Romanian fans?

J: I’ve gotten so many lovely notes from readers in Romania, so I just want to say thank you to all my Romanian fans, and to you guys for having me on the blog.  Thank you, thank you!  I hope to maybe visit one day…

Ecranizarea unui roman de mare succes, HOŢUL DE CĂRŢI spune povestea dătătoare de inspiraţie a unei fete pline de viaţă şi curajoase, pe nume Liesel, care transformă vieţile tuturor celor din jurul ei când este trimisă să locuiască la o familie adoptivă, în Germania celui de-al Doilea Război Mondial.

Pentru Liesel, puterea cuvintelor şi a imaginaţiei devine un mijloc de a evada din vâltoarea evenimentelor de care sunt înghiţiţi ea şi toţi oamenii pe care îi cunoaşte şi pe care îi iubeşte, ba chiar un mijloc de a găsi bucurie. Ea este inima şi sufletul poveştii din HOŢUL DE CĂRŢI

De altfel, inima şi sufletul, precum şi triumful şi perseverenţa, sunt motoarele filmului, care este bogat în teme şi personaje în care se va regăsi fiecare generaţie. O ilustrare emoţionantă a capacităţii spiritului uman de a face faţă vicisitudinilor, această poveste optimistă înfăţişează contrastul dintre inocenţă (întruchipată de Liesel) şi tirania omniprezentă care a marcat epoca respectivă şi patria ei.

That Awkward Moment
Jason (Zac Efron) şi Daniel (Miles Teller) se află la New Zork City, unde duc o viaţă uşoară de burlaci, atunci când cel mai bun prieten al lor, Mikey (Michael B. Jordan) află că soţia lui vrea să divorţeze. Pentru a-l susţine moral, cei trei vechi prieteni jură că nu se vor mai implica sentimental niciodată şi că vor rămâne împreună, dar burlaci. Planurile lor însă sunt aruncate în aer când Mikey începe pe nepusă masă să se întâlnească cu “fosta”, iar Jason şi Daniel se îndrăgostesc subit. În curând, fiecare dintre ei ajunge la punctul crucial, în care survine “aşadar…” , cuvântul cel mai temut din limba engleză.

Brick Mansions
Filmul de acţiune al lui Camille Delamarre este ultimul proiect cinematografic finalizat de Paul Walker înainte de moartea sa prematură într-un accident de maşină. Starul francizei Furios şi iute interpretează un poliţist sub acoperire a cărui misiune este să aducă în faţa justiţiei un gangster deosebit de periculos. În arsenalul acestuia se află o bombă atot-distrugătoare. Pentru a izbândi, eroul trebuie să se infiltreze în grupul gangsterului, într-un joc pe muchie de cuţit.
