Hell-o! It seems like "The statistical probability of love at first sight" has an Oliver! Robert Sheehan who played Simon in "The Mortal Instruments" will join Hailee Steinfeld in this adaption. We talked about the adaption here, you can find an interview with Jennifer E. Smith here and a book review here (ro). Production is set to begin later this year.

I don't know what to say about the actors, but I hope they'll fit perfectly on the roles. What do you think about it?

Good news for JENNIFER E. SMITH's fans! She wrote a sequel for "This Is What Happy Looks Like" witch means more Ellie and Graham adventures. She asked for her readers to vote their favourite cover and this is how the final cover looks like. Isn't it amazing?! *.* #loveit
"Ellie O’Neill and Graham Larkin fell hard for each other when a misspelled email address unexpectedly brought them together. Now, over a year has passed since they said goodbye with the promise to stay in touch, and their daily emails have dwindled to nothing. Ellie is a freshman in college and has told herself to move on, and Graham has kept himself busy starring in more movies, as well as a few tabloid columns. But fate brought these two together once before—and it isn’t done with them yet.
In this sequel novella to This Is What Happy Looks Like, Jennifer E. Smith revisits two beloved characters to tell the story of one magical night in Manhattan. When Ellie and Graham come face to face once more, can they get past the months of silence and the hurt feelings to find their happily-ever-after again?"
Here's the cover and the synopsis of the "main" book. If you want to read my opinion, I made a review here - for the romanian version of the book (you can translate it by changing the main language of the blog hitting the "Translate" button on the right side of the blog). Also you can read the interview she gave us here. ^-^ #enjoy
"When teenage movie star Graham Larkin accidentally sends small town girl Ellie O'Neill an email about his pet pig, the two seventeen-year-olds strike up a witty and unforgettable correspondence, discussing everything under the sun, except for their names or backgrounds.
Then Graham finds out that Ellie's Maine hometown is the perfect location for his latest film, and he decides to take their relationship from online to in-person. But can a star as famous as Graham really start a relationship with an ordinary girl like Ellie? And why does Ellie want to avoid the media's spotlight at all costs?"

Hailee Steinfeld will star in The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight, Dustin Lance Black's adaptation of the popular YA novel written by Jennifer E. Smith. She played in movies like "Romeo & Juliet", "3 Days to Kill", "Ten Thousand Saints" and "Pitch Perfect 2". I don't know if she's a good actress, but I hope she won't be a disappointment ;)
Bruna Papandrea, Caroline Kaplan and Steve Hutensky are producing the project, which The Exchange will be selling at AFM in November. CAA is handling domestic sales rights.
Set over a 24-hour period, First Sight follows a girl who, while stuck at JFK aiport as she makes her way to London for her father's second wedding, meets a boy who seems perfect. The story is described as being "about family connections, second chances and first loves that "will make you believe that true love finds you when you're least expecting it," according to The Exchange.
Here is the book review I made on blog. Excited for the news? I know I am!

"The producers, they've been wonderful about running everything past me. I give input on the script and various drafts of it. I've been shocked about how collaborative they've been, because I’ve heard stories of [authors] who don't know anything that's happening in a movie," she said. "This is not a big studio thing. This is an independent producer. It's a passion project for everybody and they've been amazing about letting me be in it at all. I'm really grateful for that." said Jennifer.

Editura: Epica
Data aparitiei: Octombrie 2013
Tip coperta: Brosata
Numar pagini: 352
ISBN: 978-606-93335-8-7

El afla unde sta Ellie si aranjeaza totul astfel incat sa vina sa filmeze in Maine, in orasul ei.

Jennifer E. Smith este autoarea mai multor romane pentru tineri, precum "The Comeback Season", "You Are Here", "The Storm Makers" si "Uite, Asa Arata Fericirea" (publicata de curand la aceeasi editura). Are un master in creative writing la Universitatea St. Andrews din Scotia, iar in prezent lucreaza ca editor in New York.

Cartea m-a dezamagit foarte mult.
