Weekly update #13
Aloha from my cozy room! For this week update I found some good trailers and good news, but I have a bad one too :(
I'll start with this one. Unfortunately, "AHS: Freak Show" actress Rose Siggins has passed away. She played Legless Suzi, one of the members of Elsa Mars’ performing company, and she was 43 when she passed away due to complications from a recent surgery. RIP, Rose!
"I couldn’t imagine myself being what everyone called ‘normal,’ because this is my normal." - Rose Siggins
Meanwhile, Shailene Woodley is going to play a young mother on TV. She with Reese Witherspoon and Nicole Kidman will play three single mothers of kindergartners whose lives “unravel to the point of murder” in "Big Little Lies", a book adaption, on HBO. The show is set to premiere sometime next year. Till then, here is the synopsis of the book (who was published in our country too and you can find it here):
Sometimes it’s the little lies that turn out to be the most lethal...
A murder… a tragic accident… or just parents behaving badly?
What’s indisputable is that someone is dead.
But who did what?
Big Little Lies follows three women, each at a crossroads:
Madeline is a force to be reckoned with. She’s funny and biting, passionate, she remembers everything and forgives no one. Her ex-husband and his yogi new wife have moved into her beloved beachside community, and their daughter is in the same kindergarten class as Madeline’s youngest (how is this possible?). And to top it all off, Madeline’s teenage daughter seems to be choosing Madeline’s ex-husband over her. (How. Is. This. Possible?).
Celeste is the kind of beautiful woman who makes the world stop and stare. While she may seem a bit flustered at times, who wouldn’t be, with those rambunctious twin boys? Now that the boys are starting school, Celeste and her husband look set to become the king and queen of the school parent body. But royalty often comes at a price, and Celeste is grappling with how much more she is willing to pay.
New to town, single mom Jane is so young that another mother mistakes her for the nanny. Jane is sad beyond her years and harbors secret doubts about her son. But why? While Madeline and Celeste soon take Jane under their wing, none of them realizes how the arrival of Jane and her inscrutable little boy will affect them all.
Big Little Lies is a brilliant take on ex-husbands and second wives, mothers and daughters, schoolyard scandal, and the dangerous little lies we tell ourselves just to survive.
If winter is coming, then you must re-read the "Harry Potter" series right now, right? Well, what if I told you that the spin-off will come with a trailer faster than you hoped? Warner Brothers has announced that the first trailer for "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" will arrive on Tuesday, December 15. But till then, they gave us the synopsis:
“Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” opens in 1926 as Newt Scamander has just completed a global excursion to find and document an extraordinary array of magical creatures. Arriving in New York for a brief stopover, he might have come and gone without incident…were it not for a No-Maj (American for Muggle) named Jacob, a misplaced magical case, and the escape of some of Newt’s fantastic beasts, which could spell trouble for both the wizarding and No-Maj worlds.
Who's excited? ^.^
And now it's time for trailers! I don't have too much to say about them. I am just curios about the movies and I hope they will worth it - at least the Disney ones :D
Jennifer Lawrence and another bunch of hotties in there? Well, here I am, baby!
The BFG is based on the Roald Dahl classic of the same name, about a girl named Sophie who befriends a giant who is — you guessed it — friendly. Their adventure is as fantastical a story as only Roald Dahl could write, and has been a classic ever since it was published in 1982. I like how the trailer looks like and I hope that the movie will be much better.
This is the hotter Tarzan you'll ever see! Because Alexander Skarsgard is the king of the jungle and Margot Robbie is his Jane. Special effects, a hottie (or more) and an old story to remake. I really hope this will be a good remake!
Rick Riordan is here with another greek mythology inspired book! The cover, illustrated by John Rocco, features the godly version of Apollo, as well as the teenage version we’ll be seeing as our hero of the series. The buildings around him are presumably New York, as that’s where the Greek gods currently reside.
USA Today gave us an excerpt from The Hidden Oracle, which oddly enough comes from chapter 3. You can read that here. The Hidden Oracle will be released on May 3, 2016. Here's the synopsis:
After angering his father Zeus, the god Apollo is cast down from Olympus. Weak and disorientated, he lands in New York City as a regular teenage boy. Now, without his godly powers, the four-thousand-year-old deity must learn to survive in the modern world until he can somehow find a way to regain Zeus’s favour.
But Apollo has many enemies – gods, monsters and mortals who would love to see the former Olympian permanently destroyed. Apollo needs help, and he can think of only one place to go . . . an enclave of modern demigods known as Camp Half-Blood.

And what about some music to end this article?
Well, we all know and love - till we became obsess with :D - the music video for "How deep is your love" where Gigi Hadid was basically a goddess. Now it's time for her younger sister to sole the show in The Weeknd's new music video. Which one you like the most? :)

O ador pe Reese Witherspoon de cand am vazut Just like heaven. M-as uita la un film chiar si prost, numai pentru ca joaca ea. :D
