Rosemary's Baby: Zoe Saldana Is Satan's Baby Mama in Poster For NBC Miniseries

by - martie 22, 2014

When we say that Zoe Saldana is about to contend with a pregnancy from hell, we're not kidding. The 35-year-old actress is the star of NBC's demonic miniseriesRosemary's Baby, a four-hour TV event based on the same 1967 Ira Levin novel that spawned the classic Roman Polanski film.
Now, NBC has released its first poster for the miniseries — an image in which Zoe, with Rosemary's signature short haircut, holds her belly and looks at a baby buggy, while the Eiffel Tower looms in the background.
In the story, Rosemary and her husband move into a new apartment building and befriend their neighbors. As Rosemary's pregnancy develops and goes awry, she starts suspecting her husband and neighbors of occult behavior, thinking her baby is satanic. (Spoiler alert: She's right.)
Mia Farrow played Rosemary in the 1968 movie, John Cassavetes co-starred as her husband, and Ruth Gordon won an Oscar for her portrayal of a particularly nasty neighbor.
In a recent press release, NBC Entertainment president Jennifer Salke raved about NBC's remake — which still doesn't have a release date: "As we move into the event movie and miniseries space,Rosemary’s Baby represents the kind of attention-getting, surprising project that will make noise for us. The story has been updated and moved to Paris, but it's faithful to the spirit of Ira Levin’s classic novel."
That means it's still scary as all get-out!Source
